Wings of Flesh and Bone Blog Tour - Review + Giveaway

Welcome to my little spot on this awesome blog tour. Hope you enjoy the review and make sure and scroll all the way to the end for the giveaway! Have a great day!

An Angel. A Witch. A Demon. And A Choice.

Creatures from outer realms suck, as any gatekeeper worth their salt will tell you. Welcome to Rogan’s life, an orphaned seventeen-year-old who lives and trains with other misfits under her uncle’s roof, keeping Earth safe from non-human realm jumpers. Rogan’s biggest issue concerns her uncle’s short leash with her freedom—that is of course, until she’s taken by a notorious witch, and her life begins to unravel. Soon, the supernatural beauty discovers there’s a reason her uncle kept such a tight lock on her whereabouts, and that she has more than angel blood running through her veins.

Eighteen-year-old Max is an angel, and Rogan’s mentor and guardian. He’s well aware of her tenacious inability to obey orders, though he also knows she’s a fierce fighter. When he’s involved in a scheme that ultimately gets Rogan kidnapped, he must battle his way back to her in an attempt to save her from the darkness threatening to possess her.

Book Breakdown

*I received this free in exchange for an honest review*

We follow Rogan and Max through this story. His side is all about finding her after her mother gets ahold of her. Rogan's pretty cool. She doesn't want to sit around and do nothing while everyone protects her. She wants to learn as much as she can and be a gatekeeper like all her friends. This book is one heck of a ride, it really never slows down for Rogan's parts, on Max we do get a few slower moments but otherwise, it's pretty action packed.

Rogan takes a lot through this book, I do not envy her as I don't know if I could've made it. My mind would've exploded at everything she learned. The world building was honestly the best part of this novel, it's very flushed out and such a huge world that there is more to learn! The author did an amazing job there! The writing style was fine and dandy. The romance though... it was lacking a bit. Our two romance leads were apart for most of the novel!

I needed more romance! The little we did get was from a guy that wasn't even the guy that Rogan said she loved. This was the part of Rogan that I disliked, she says she loves someone but is making out with someone else. Not cool! So, if you're looking for a read with a flawed MC, then you'll love this one! Rogan isn't perfect and that makes her feel much more real because no one is perfect.

I will put a warning here that this book does contain a wee bit of incest.

Overall, this book is never boring! Do not read it trying to relax as it will get your blood pumping and mind racing. It's a fun read. It's also on Kindle Unlimited if you have that, so really there's nothing to lose from picking up this book!
