50/50 Friday - Best/Worst Book Read in 2017

50/50 Friday is a weekly meme hosted by me and the wonderful Laura from Blue Eye Books.

Now what is 50/50 Friday?
Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. We will have a new topic every Friday (something bookish of course!). If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let us know!

Best/Worst Read in 2017

I'm so happy to be done with 2017. It was one of the worst years of my life. Actually it ranks 2nd followed by 2013. Here's hoping 2018 is so much better!

In terms of reading, 2017 was a great year for me! I had some many great books and not too many bad reads. So let's jump into my favorite read of 2017 and the one that I disliked the most.

Favorite Read of 2017
This one also won a Goodreads Choice Award!

Least Favorite
I didn't even finish this one it was so freaking bad.

  1. I hope your 2018 is much better than your 2017 was, a million times over, Carrie. I had a fairly good reading year as well. I had a hard time picking a favorite and so went with three--cheating, I know. LOL I haven't read your favorite--but it does look good!

I didn't think of using a DNF as my least favorite--but then, I didn't track my DNF's this past year. I don't think I had many, if any though, now that I think about it. I must have though, right? It seems strange not to have at least one . . .

I hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Yeah I am definitely staying away from 27 hours! But I started the ACOTAR series and I really loved the first one.

  4. ACOWAR was so lovely! I'm really looking forward to ACOFAS but at the same time, I'm kind of dreading it just because it marks the real end of Feyre and Rhys' narration and we won't see as much of them anymore. I definitely need to do a series reread soon :)
