Untitled Beauty - ARC Review

Eleven. A name. A title. A sentence passed. If you aren’t a Beauty, you’re less than a person. You’re a commodity known as a Potential… and you only have so many chances to qualify as a human being.

In her seventeen years, Eleven has seen the best and worst in humanity. She’s been passed around and abused by the bad. She’s hoped and dreamed for the good. And she’s despaired for the hand she’s been dealt. Now she’s been purchased by a wealthy man who has the ability to improve her life and help her become a Beauty – if she can put up with his erratic and controlling personality for long enough, that is. Complicating things is the appearance of a stunningly beautiful young man with amethyst eyes who treats Eleven to the rarest form of attention for a Potential: kindness.

Does Eleven trust her powerful owner to help her escape this life of servitude and enslavement, or does she gamble everything on the enigmatic young man who seems to offer her more than she could ever imagine possible?

ARC Breakdown

*I received this novel free from the author as an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

What bothers me the most about this book, is how real this could. With the way our society goes after beauty and how beautiful people are the only ones that are famous... it's so creepily real. The author does a great job at making this world seem so real. It's not a good world, it's really sad when we base people off their looks but it happens everyday in the real world. So this novel really hit home with me. Made me love it that much more.

It's my favorite novel by this author to date. The writing just keeps getting better and better. The plots also keep improving. Everything flows perfectly. Her characters are always well thought out as well.

Grace is a Potential, which means she had the chance to be a beauty with the right help. She's a strong girl but at times is very weak. She's real. Not everyone can be strong all the time, it's tiring and hard and once you've been beaten down so much. Reece is also a great character. I was never sure if I could trust him or not. He's just what Grace wants to be: a Potential turned Beauty. He can make it happen, but she has to do as he says...

I'd say anyone who loves the Uglies series, will love this as they alike in a few ways. This is one I'm going to be keeping my eye on. It's just too good.

  2. This book really had such a unique and warped concept of beauty! It was utterly fascinating. I'd never want to live in a world like that, but it's neat to be able to imagine what a world where beauty is taken to an extreme would look like!
    Great review :)
